About Rasna

More On Rasna Oil

Rasna Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an organic, extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil from the hills of central Tuscany. The olives that it is made from are hand picked, and never shaken from the tree. Rasna Extra Virgin Olive Oil is certified and recognized as an organic product in both Italy, where it is produced, and in the United States, where its distribution will expand with the 2008 harvest.

For a decade, Tuscan author Dario Castagno has overseen the selection and hand-picking of olives for Rasna Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and produced it in very limited quantities for private distribution to his readers and friends. All the spirit and passion for Tuscany that comes through in Dario’s prose in the books Too Much Tuscan Sun, A Day In Tuscany and Too Much Tuscan Wine flows through each drop of Rasna!

With ten years experience and a trusted team in place, Dario is finally able to produce a greater amount of this delicious “olio novo” without sacrificing quality, and is now introducing it in the U.S. at select restaurants, wineries, hotels, gourmet shops, food emporiums, wine stores and other fine establishments.

Rasna Extra Virgin Olive Oil’s elegant character and earthy fragrance are matched by its benefits to great health, and, like fine wine, its attributes vary annually from harvest to harvest. Authentic and handmade, it is available in limited supply.

With each year’s late November/early December harvest, the Rasna team is committed to being able to ship this exquisite oil to you to enjoy days after the olives were basking in the sun on a hillside in Tuscany, making for a truly alive culinary product that’s cause for celebration at table with friends and family. Of course, Rasna Extra Virgin Olive Oil keeps wonderfully all year as well, until the next harvest and another annual “olio novo” festival from your friends at Rasna!
